At IN ALCOVA we only choose products that we truly identify with and that we would recommend to our friends and clients. Therefore we love sharing them with our readers so they can also get inspired. We at IN ALCOVA believe in trust and privacy. We create holistic interior design for our clients and we do not profit from your data. We will collect information about you only when we have to provide our services to you. 

This personal data policy describes how IN ALCOVA (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) processes your personal data. 

When you visit www.inalcova.com or any of its sub-domains (“Our Website”) or enter in agreement with Us, you agree that your personal data will be processed in accordance with this personal data policy. The processing of your personal data is necessary so that We, for example, can enter into and perform agreements with you, respond to your enquiries and send you news about IN ALCOVA, Our services, products or promotions.

We collect and process certain personal data about you, including, but not limited to:

  • Any personal data you directly provide to Us when we enter into an agreement, such as your names, home address, contact information, etc.;

  • Any information that We need in order to provide the contracted services to you, such as your personal preferences, purchase requests, financial and bank account details, imagery, 3D models and address of the space you need Our help with, etc.

  • Any emails or other communication you send to Us, such as customer support inquiries, partnership offers, comments under social media posts, etc. Please be aware that information on public parts of Our Website or on social media is available to others.

  • Your email address, marketing preferences and any other information you voluntarily share with Us in connection with newsletters, surveys, marketing materials or promotions of IN ALCOVA.

  • We also automatically collect personal data relating to your use of Our Website via cookies, including details such as your IP address, the web pages that directed you to Our Website, information about your browser, information about how you interact with Our Website (such as clicks, scrolling, browsing time, searches, load time, etc.). Our Website uses both functional (required) and analytics (performance) cookies which are placed on your device only when you acknowledge Our cookie banner. 3  USE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We only use your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. To enter into agreements with you and to perform the contracted services, including, but not limited to create custom designs for your space, to purchase and deliver the goods you have asked for, to perform our billing, etc.;

  2. To communicate with you regarding special offers, advertising materials, inspiring content and news about Our products and services;

  3. To compile statistics and analyses (non-personal data) that enable Us to run Our website effectively, improve your customer experience and Our services;

  4. To market, promote and showcase the quality of Our products and services;

  5. To comply with Our legal obligations, such as, but not limited to tax and other government regulations, industry standards, contracts and law enforcement requests;

  6. To respond to enquiries you have raised with Us; and

  7. To establish, plead or defend Our legal claims, if necessary.

4   LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We process your personal data for the above purposes when:

  1. We enter into or perform agreements with you, including to conclude agreements with third parties on your behalf, to deliver the products or services you have asked for and also to process payments and enquiries related to your contract with Us (Article 6 (1) b GDPR);

  2. We have received your consent for that, for example when you have agreed for Us to communicate with you regarding IN ALCOVA’s newsletter or when you have agreed to be represented or featured in promotional campaigns of IN ALCOVA, etc. (Article 6 (1) a GDPR). You can withdraw the consent you have provided to Us at any time by contacting Us at hello@inalcova.com;

  3. We comply with Our legal obligations, for example to keep a financial record of your transactions for tax and accounting purposes (Article 6 (1) c GDPR); and

  4. We pursue Our legitimate interests, for example when We compile statistics and analyses which enable Us to improve Our website and your customer experience or when We need to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim (Article 6 (1) f GDPR); 

5   WHO WILL SEE YOUR DATA 

IN ALCOVA would not share your personal data with any third parties without your prior knowledge and consent. We may share your personal data with our subcontractors, only if this is required for the provision of the services you have requested and only to personnel with a direct ‘need-to-know’. Those subcontractors may include, for example:

  1. The interior design partners IN ALCOVA collaborates with; or

  2. Delivery firms that will ship, deliver and/or install the goods you have purchased.

 We also use Squarespace Inc., a company based in New York City, the United States of America to host and run Our Website. We will share with Squarespace any information about the way you interact with Our Website as described in Section 2 above (‘COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA’). 6  DATA TRANSFERS AND SECURITY

We may transfer your personal data from the country in which such data was originally collected to other countries globally in which IN ALCOVA or any of its subcontractors operate, including to the US. We will do so only in adherence with the GDPR or the data protection laws that apply to you.

  4. request deletion of your personal data processed by Us;

  5. object to the processing of your personal data by Us, including in relation to direct marketing;

  6. request restriction of the processing of your personal data by Us.
